Gods of Honour is a Hong Kong television series adapted from the novel Fengshen Bang (also known as Investiture of the Gods or Creation of the Gods), a Chinese vernacular classic written by Xu Zhonglin and Lu Xixing. The series was first aired on TVB Jade in Hong Kong in 2001. It starred Benny Chan, Chin Kar-lok, Irene Wan, Michelle Ye, Dickson Lee, Yuen Wah, Kingdom Yuen and Winnie Yeung in the lead roles.
Story
Since time immemorial, the history of China has seen many belligerent and licentious tyrants. King Zhou was one of the most notorious tyrant. His tyranny triggered off an epic legend: King Wu overthrowing Zhou. In the fierce battle between good and evil, ancient China was gripped by paroxysms of rage and grief. Countless loyal and valiant warriors were sacrificed. Taking pity on the aggrieved mortals, the Celestial Realm laid the Rostrum of Gods of Honour.
The story tells a great number of filial piety as well. Important figures such as Nezha and Daji are mentioned.
Nezha (哪吒) is a protection deity in Chinese folk religion. His official Taoist name is "Marshal of the Central Altar" (中壇元帥). He was then given the title "Third Lotus Prince" (蓮花三太子) after he became a deity.
Chin Kar-lok as Erlang Shen
Erlang Shen (二郎神), or Erlang is a Chinese God with a third truth-seeing eye in the middle of his forehead.
Er-lang Shen may be a deified version of several semi-mythical folk heroes who help regulate China's torrential floods, dating variously from the Qin, Sui and Jin dynasties. A later Buddhist source identify him as the second son of the Northern Heavenly KingVaishravana.
In the Ming semi-mythical novels Creation of the Gods and Journey to the West Erlang Shen is the nephew of the Jade Emperor. In the former he assisted the Zhou army in defeating the Shang. In the latter, he is the second son of a mortal and Jade emperor's sister. In the legend, he is known as the greatest warrior god of heaven.
Dickson Lee as Lui-tsan-tsi
Leizhenzi (Chinese: 雷震子; Pinyin: Léizhènzǐ) a character featured within the famed classic Chinese novel Investiture of the Gods (more commonly known as Fengshen Yanyi).
Leizhenzi is a celestial being that had been created by a certain great thunderstorm at Mount Swallow. Ji Chang had been the one to first receive the small newborn, and thus the baby would become known as the third son of Ji Chang. However, Yunzhongzi would take the newborn in as his own disciple, for he was destined to assist in the creation of the new Zhou Dynasty.
Summary

We will also see the future Yu Long San, the three eyed god, Yeung Jin, how he loved and married, parted and reunited with his loved ones. We will see Lui Jan Tzi, the future Thunder God and how he became a General in the Zhao army. And we will see the struggles and the hardships, the many lives lost and many lives killed, the frustration and the triumph of the rebels overthrowing the woman who created the havoc in the Kingdom and established a just and peaceful dynasty.
